Why Texas Built

Why Texas Built

Two trailers can look identical on a quote and be built nothing alike. The difference is in the details.

Not all trailers are equal

What an equipment list will not tell you

When you shop for a food trailer you compare size, equipment and price. That part is easy. Two trailers can carry the same fryer, the same griddle and the same hood, quote within a few hundred dollars of each other, and be built nothing alike.

The differences that matter most rarely show up on an equipment list. You should know exactly what you are investing in, so here is what we do, and what to look for in anyone else's build.

Where it is built

Actually built in Texas, not just sold here

When we say Texas Built, we mean the trailer. Some food trailers sold and marketed in Texas can leave the impression they were built here, when the trailer itself was manufactured outside the United States and brought in for sale or for finishing.

Ours are manufactured right here in Texas. Texas Built is not a name we picked to sound local. It is where the trailers come from.

So when you compare builders, ask one question: where is the trailer itself manufactured? Not where the company is located. Not where the equipment gets installed. Where the trailer is built.

Sold in Texas

The trailer was built somewhere else and shipped here to be sold.

Finished in Texas

The shell came from elsewhere. The equipment went in once it arrived.

Built in Texas

The trailer itself is manufactured here. This is the one we do.

Look closer

Look past the equipment list

Comparing quotes on fryers, griddles, refrigerators, sinks and hoods is the easy part, and the equipment list is only a piece of what you are buying. Look at the build itself. Ask any builder:

How is the equipment secured?
How are the electrical and plumbing systems installed?
How are the gas lines installed and protected?
How is the ventilation system designed?
How is the interior finished?
Has the finished trailer been powered up and tested?
What happens when you have a question after the sale?

None of that shows up on a quote. All of it shows up once you start working out of the trailer.

Finished like a commercial kitchen

Small details on their own. Together they separate a finished trailer from a box with equipment in it.

Stainless where it counts

Stainless-steel shelving wherever the space allows, with splash guards behind the work areas.

Sealed and trimmed

Aluminum trim, sealed work areas, and silicone around the tables and countertop equipment.

Equipment that stays put

Custom-fabricated brackets and secure mounting, not equipment set down on the floor.

Clean throughout

Professional finishing across the whole workspace, not only the parts on the walkthrough.

Your kitchen is going down the highway

A food trailer makes turns, hits bumps and travels between locations. We build for that, then prove it before you take delivery.

Mounted for the road

Custom-fabricated brackets and secure mounting hold your equipment in position while the trailer moves.

Powered up and tested

Before your trailer leaves our facility we power it up and run the systems and equipment through final testing, so we find problems while it is still in our shop.

Your generator tested too

Buy a generator through us and we run it with your finished trailer to confirm it handles that trailer's electrical load. Every build draws differently.

Come look

See it for yourself

Photos and an equipment list are a thin basis for a decision this size. If you are local, come to the shop in Belton and walk through the trailers. Look at the workmanship, look at how the equipment is mounted, look at the finishing, and ask us anything.

If you are out of state, we will set up a video call and walk you through a trailer on camera.

After the sale

We are here after your trailer leaves the lot

Our responsibility does not end when your trailer pulls off our lot. Questions come up after delivery, and when they do you know who to call and you get one of us.

We stand behind what we build. Our customers become part of an extended Texas Built family, and we stay a resource long after the build is finished.
